I’m Matthew Sabo. I was introduced to the magic of the kitchen at the age of three by my grandma, who was the greatest cook I’ve known. The kitchen was always where the excitement was happening growing up, and that’s where I wanted to be.
I was born and raised in New York and currently reside in Nashville, where I’ve lived since 2016. With my family being a wild mix of nationalities I was always experiencing new foods and this fueled my hunger to learn and experience more. After high school I went to college to study chemistry. In order to pay my way through college I started cooking in restaurants. It was in the restaurant kitchen where I truly felt I belonged. I dropped out of college and decided to pursue my passion for food. 10 years later and I’m still loving the allure of food. With my appreciation for the sciences and passion for food I’ve made it my mission to dig into all aspects of food and come to a greater understanding of what we as individuals and as a society produce and consume.
